Airwave supports England Team with movies


Airwave is doing its little bit to make the England Football Teams stay in South Africa more enjoyable by supplying the movies for the IPTV system at the team’s hotel, the luxurious Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus. Dennis Garrison, Director of Content at Airwave said “The players are staying at a specially selected high-altitude location, and will be training for six hours a day. This leaves them plenty of spare time to watch our great selection of movies.”

Airwave supplies the first 3D TVs to UK customers


History was written in April when Airwave supplied over 1000 UK pubs with the very first supplies of LG 3D TVs, to help support the roll-out of the launch of Europe’s first dedicated 3D TV channel, Sky 3D. Supporters have been praising the new service, whilst reactions from publicans has been extremely positive with reports of higher customer numbers and increased sales.

Airwave is very pleased to work with Sky to supply the state-of-the-art 3D television screens to venues in the UK and Ireland. Not only do these locations have access to the new Sky 3D channel, but all their customers will benefit from watching the World Cup on ITV and BBC in HD as a minimum” commented Airwave Managing Director, Tim Worrall.

Sharp premier Freeview HD TVs


Sharp has been first to market with a Hotel TV with Freeview HD tuners inbuilt. The new range includes 32, 40 and 42 inch models with the normal hotel features as well as USB cloning of settings. Andy Watts of Sharp explained “We believe that we have stolen a lead on the market, and the new range is perfectly timed to capitalise on the extra demand from the World Cup Football”. The World Cup will be shown broadcast on the Freeview HD service on BBC and ITV and only available to those hotels with Freeview HD tuners in room, or special HD distribution systems. All Sharp hotel TVs purchased through Airwave come with a 3 year Commercial Warranty as standard.
