Drayton Manor Hotel goes Digital with Airwave

In partnership with communications specialists TMB solutions, Airwave Europe has enabled the brand new Drayton Manor Hotel to offer guests the best in room TV experience. The hotel, situated in 280 acres of lakes and park land offers perfect luxury accommodation for modern families and business travellers alike. Airwave supplied 159 of the latest Samsung LCD TVs capable of receiving free to air satellite channels. In the Thomas the Tank Engine themed rooms, we helped provide families with a magical experience, with bespoke end of bed DVD and TV combination units, meaning children can watch their favourite movies in bed. Airwave also introduced their new interactive TV solution “AirCAST” into in rooms and public areas, allowing interactivity in the TV network using the red button functionality built into modern TV receivers. Drayton Manor can now use this to provide guests with a wide range of local information, hotel videos and images and to provide brand continuity throughout the hotel. Finally, the latest super slim 46”Samsung LED TVs were installed in the bars and public areas.

Holiday Inn Bristol goes Hi-Tech with Airwave

The new Holiday Inn, Bristol City Centre has just been installed with a fantastic array of the latest Hotel AV products on the market. There are 155 rooms in total, with 32 inch Samsung LED's installed in the standard rooms and 40 inch screens in the Executive rooms and suites. As well as having 2 LED screens, the suites also benefit from luxurious bathroom TV's. All rooms have the latest HD Teleadapt hub as well as iPod docking stations with Clock/Alarm functionality.
The bar area enjoys an HD feed from SKY on all TV's, as well as the high luminosity projector. There are also two 3D LCD TV's from LG to further enhance the experience during key events. The conference area has been equipped with a professional Sharp Digital Signage Television and the entire hotel has it's own Information Channel. There are even screens in the public area restrooms and gymnasium.

3 New Ocean Rigs launch with Movie Content from Airwave

Airwave Europe Limited, in partnership with SnapTV of Norway, are providing movies from Universal, Paramount, Dreamworks and other studios to three new Ocean Rig exploration ships, the Olympia, Mykonos and the Posiedon. On-board crews can enjoy blockbuster films when they are off duty, through the SnapTV video on demand system. The four Ocean Rigs are currently deployed off the Greenland coast and 380 crew cabins are now online. Tim Worrall - Managing Director of Airwave Europe Limited stated "when we met SnapTV at IBC in Amsterdam, we knew that they would be a great partner in the Marine sector and we look forward to supplying similar vessels within the oil industry in other parts of the world". The innovative Ocean Rig ships are very efficient, as they are able to be on location for temporary exploration of oil and move quickly to find other potential oil supplies.

Great Views in the Lake District

Built in 1650 as a coaching inn, and referred to in Wordsworth's poem 'The Waggoner', the Swan Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the Lake District and is part of the Macdonald Hotel group. Airwave has recently installed 40 x 32 inch Sharp Freeview ready Hotel Digital TV's on desks, in-keeping with the hotel's decor. Samsung Hotel TV's for Best Western Cumberland Hotel Harrow

Guests at the Best Western Cumberland Hotel, Harrow are now watching new Samsung Hotel TV's thanks to a fast installation from Airwave. The mixture of 80 26" and 32" TV's were all installed in a tight one day installation window. Philips Hotel Televisions for the Westland Hotel in London

Visitors to the Westland Hotel in Central London will now be able to enjoy up to 50 digital TV Channels and up to 24 Digital Radio Channels in their rooms, thanks to Airwave. The Airwave installation team installed 37 32" Philips Hospitality TV's, and also took away the old CRT televisions for sensitive disposal, to ensure both the Westland Hotel and Airwave satisfy the duty of care and the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) regulations.
